I have entered the Soulard Mardi Gras poster contest, and here is my entry (acrylic paint, thinned and used on paper). The contest will be held Thursday Nov 6th from 6 pm to 10 pm at the Soulard Art Market - at the corner of Russell and 12th Street in Soulard. (voting is in person only).  There are around 40 entries from what the person who accepted my poster told me.  I will give an update after the contest, wish me luck! (and if you are in the area, please vote!)

 

 

Halloween went well.  We had some great trick-or-treaters this year.  I did not do much in the way of a costume for myself, as I was too busy with welcoming a new grandchild among other things.  Next year I will be back to form with a costume to greet the T-or-T's.  Marty brought Chris and Clayton over to trick-or-treat in the neighborhood, and John went with them while I handled the goodie basket.  Both boys had a blast and they went home with lots of treats.  I took some photos and I will have them on here soon.  Keegan went trick-or-treating as well - on Oct 30 instead, as they held it one day earlier in Ohio.  I made costumes for both Keegan and Kiley, and hope to have pics of them as well to show.  All is going well with Kiley, and Keegan is thrilled with his new baby sister.  He is helping as much as allowed. :-)  More later!  Hugs and thanks for dropping by.
